ABOUT ABOUT

Our topic will be Event Hacks & Technology featuring Rachel Robbins, customer success expert at TicketLeap & Jason Sherman, who leads all A/V needs of Philly New Tech Meetup. We'll be talking about things like cool tricks on ticketing sites, tips to working with A/V people and easy solutions to last minute, day-of problems. Bring your stories!

We get together the city's most seasoned and newest community event planners to convene and share best practices, challenges and opportunities around our events. We hope that you can join us at our fifth installment of Convening the Conveners.

We especially hope you'll join us if you're producing an event as part of Philly Tech Week, as this is an official pre-PTW event.

We're happy to have our long-standng partner Comcast as our primary sponsor.

As always, we'll conclude the event with a happy hour, with the first round on us and our new partner, TicketLeap.

Please share with a friend or colleague. Imagine if all of us each brought someone? That would be a lot of conveners convening.

Jason Sherman began his journey during the dot-com boom of the 90s when he formed his own Technology Consulting company after graduating Delaware Valley University with a degree in Computer Information Systems Management in 1998. Currently, he is the CEO & Cofounder for Instamour, an innovative mobile video messaging platform.  He is an avid volunteer for the Philly tech community as a videographer and photographer for Philly New Tech Meetup, StartupGrind (Google Entrepreneurs), Tech
in Motion Events, and until it ended in 2013: Philly Tech Meetup (PTM). As a contributor for Technically Philly, he writes about the thriving Philadelphia tech scene with a focus on startups.

Rachel Robbins is Customer Success Executive and Events Lead at Ticketleap as well as Events Director for Philly Startup Leaders. Planning events has been integral to her current roles in the Philly tech community as well as in her previous life as a fundraiser in non-profit arts and theatre. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she is passionate about connecting people face-to-face, creating ambiance, and seeing Philly flourish.

Happy Hour afterward at World Cafe Live sponsored by TicketLeap.
